The Stuart RE401 and RE401P rotary evaporators are supplied with vertical coil condensers and a complete set of glassware.

Based on the same high quality stand as the RE400, the RE401 comes with a vertical coil condenser ideal where space is at a premium, for example in a fume cupboard. The specially designed condenser gives a smaller footprint, reducing the width of the evaporator by over 20% compared to the RE400.

A model with plastic coated glassware is available (code RE401P). Condenser, adapter, receiver flask and Florentine flask have a temperature and chemically resistant polymer coating which will counterbalance the effect of implosion which can sometimes happen if damaged glassware is accidentally put under vacuum. The plastic coating acts as a safety screen, containing the glassware pieces thus protecting the operator.

The sample or Florentine flask can additionally be heated by an accessory bath (not included) to accelerate the process.
